Operation Hit Back begins again

Moulvibazar Correspondent: Operation Hit Back has begun again at the suspected militant hideout at Nasirpur village under Moulvibazar Sadar upazila.

Sound of firing was heard after SWAT team resumed ‘Operation Hit Back’ around 11.00am.

The team tried to enter the premises around 6:00am but their operation was obstructed due to the storm and rain.

Law enforcers are yet to take control of the militant den at Nasirpur.


The SWAT team will begin next operation at Borohat under Sadar upazila after wrapping up the Nasirpur part, sources said.
 

Police and other law enforcing agencies have cordoned off two suspected militant hideouts in Borohat area and Nasirpur village under sadar of Moulvibazar district.

SWAT team reached Moulvibazar district around 5.30pm on Wednesday.

Some suspected militants are believed to be holed up in the two Moulvibazar houses. Both the houses are owned by Saifur Rahman Shakil, a Bangladeshi man living in England for 30 years, police and local sources said.
