Over 9 kg gold seized at Shahjalal airport

Staff Correspondent: Customs intelligence officials seized 80 gold bars weighing 9.320 grams from a flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday morning.

The gold bars were seized in an abandoned condition at the flight of QR-640 from Doha of Qatar.

Customs intelligence director general Sahidul Islam confirmed the information to risingbd.com.

Customs sources said that acting on a tip-off, the law enforcers checked cleaners of the flight. But, no gold bar was found after checking the cleaners' body, shoes. Later, the gold bars were found under 18-F Sheet in a special fashion.
