PIB gets new chairman

Secretariat Correspondent: The government has appointed Abed Khan as chairman of the board of directors of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB).
Information ministry issued a notification on Monday with formation of 15-member board of directors, headed by Abed Khan.
Abed Khan was assistant editor Editor of the Daily Jagaran. He was also editor of the daily Ittefaq in 1978. He joined the daily Bhorer Kagoj on 18 June 2003 as its editor. He worked there from 2003 until his resignation in 2005.
He then acted as editor of the daily Jugantor from 2005 to 2006. He also worked as editor of the daily Samakal.
