PM mourns deaths in US-Bangla aircraft crash

Risingbd Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock and sorrow at the tragic deaths in a plane crash of Bangladesh's US-Bangla Airlines in Kathmandu, Nepal on Monday.

A condolence message sent from the Prime Minister’s office confirmed the incident.

In the condolence message, the Prime Minister, now in Singapore on a four-day official visit, prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of the crash victims and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

A Bangladeshi airliner with 71 people on board crashed today while coming in to land at the airport in the Nepali capital, Kathmandu, killing at least 50 people. The plane, operated by US-Bangla Airlines, was on a flight from Dhaka when it hit an airport fence and burst into flames.
