PM, president greet Tigers for historic Test win

Staff Correspondent: Prime minister Sheikh Hasina and President Abdul Hamid on Sunday greeted the Bangladesh cricket team for winning historic 100th Test against Sri Lanka in the second Test in Colombo.

Tigers clinched historic 100th Test match beating Sri Lanka by four wickets to level Joy Bangla Cup series 1-1 in Colombo on Sunday.

In a congratulatory message, Sheikh Hasina greeted all the players, coach and officials of the national team as well as Bangladesh Cricket Board officials concerned for defeating England in the second Test.

Besides, National Parliament Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Choudhury, Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia also greeted Bangladesh cricket team.
