Risingbd Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home today curtailing her four-day official visit to Singapore by a day following yesterday's US-Bangla Airlines plane crash in Nepal.

A regular flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the premier and members of her entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 6.15 pm.

The prime minister went to Singapore on Sunday on a four-day official visit at an invitation of her Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong.

Sheikh Hasina, who was scheduled to return home on Wednesday afternoon, curtailed her tour by a day to stand beside the families of the victims of the plane crash at Trivubhan International Airport in Kathmandu on Monday afternoon.

During her visit to Singapore, she held official talks with Singapore Premier Lee Hsien Loong and paid a courtesy call on Singapore President Halimah Yacob.

The Bangladesh premier attended a lunch hosted in her honour by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien and joined Singapore-Bangladesh Business Forum and Business Roundtable at Shangri-La Hotel as the chief guest.

Sheikh Hasina visited the Port of Singapore, one of the busiest commercial ports of the world. She also visited the National Orchid Garden of Singapore Botanic Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage, and unveiled an orchid named after her.
