PM to visit Rajshahi on February 22

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit Rajshahi on February 22.

She will inaugurate 20 projects and lay stone foundation of nine projects there.

AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, president of Rajshahi City Awami League, revealed the news while exchanging views with reporters on Saturday.

He said, "All preparations are nearly completed for the rally of Prime Minister. The entire city has already been decorated with gates, banners and festoons and lightings. The formation of a giant stage alike boat, the party's symbol, has started at the venue of Madrasa ground."

He hopes around 5 lakh people will attend the rally.

Dablu Sarkar, general secretary of the city Awami League, said, "We on behalf of the city Awami League will raise nine demands to the premier."

He also expects that PM will announce from the rally to meet the demands for the sake of development in Rajshahi.
