PM's flight glitch: Report on June 13

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has fixed June 13 to submit the report over the glitch in a Biman flight carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that caused emergency landing in Turkmenistan on her way to Hungary on November 27 last year.
Judge Ahsan Habib of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court passed the order as Investigation Officer (IO), Mahbubul Alam, Inspector of Counter Terrorism unit, did not submit the report on Sunday.
The Biman Bangladesh authorities filed the case against the nine suspended staff with Airport Police Station on December 20, 2016.
Earlier, Biman Bangladesh Airlines suspended nine of its officials in two phases on November 30 and December 14, for their negligence that led to the emergency landing of the flight.
The accused are Debesh Chowdhury, chief engineer (production); SA Siddique, chief engineer (quality assurance); Billal Hossain, principal engineer; engineers SM Rokonuzaman, Samiul Haque, Lutfor Rahman, Milon Chandra Biswas and Zakir Hossain and technician Siddiqur Rahman.
