Parliament passes record 18 bills in 10 days

Secretariat Correspondent: A total of 18 bills have been passed during the 22nd session of the 10th National Parliament.

The current session launched on September 9 which ended on September 20. During the 10-day session, the record number bills including the much-talked Digital Security and Road Transport Bills were passed.

Four of these legislations were passed on the last day (September 20).

Earlier, a total of 15 bills were passed in the 21st session of 25 working days and 20th session of 20-day each.

Besides, a total of 130 bills were passed in 19 sessions in the last four years.

According to officials of the parliament secretariat, there is no record of passing such number of bills in such a short session.
