Passenger held with 3,000 Yaba pills at Shahjala airport

Staff Correspondent: Customs officials detained a passenger along with 3000 Yaba pills at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital Sunday night.

The detainee is identified as Jashim Uddin.

Dr Md Shahidul Islam, director general of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) told risingbd.com said the passenger arrived at the airport from Chattogram by a flight of VQ-912.

Later, acting on a tip-off, a team of CIID took position at the domestic terminal of the airport and obstructed Jashim as he came forward. Meanwhile, the law enforcers recovered 3000 Yaba pills from Jashim.
