Passenger held with 5kg gold

Staff Correspondent: Customs intelligence department has recovered five kg gold, whose market price is approximately Tk 2.5 crore, from a passenger at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Customs Director General (DG) Dr Md Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter.
The gold was recovered from Mortuza Ali Ansari, a passenger on the Singapore Air Lines SQ 446 flight came from Chengaya airport in Singapore on Thursday night.
Customs officials said that Mortuza Ali, 63, came Dhaka in a wheelchair from Singapore. On information, customs officials searched him and recovered 50 gold bars from the short pant.
