‘Pedestrians to be held if they cross roads with risks’

Senior Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said we (traffic police) had our back to the wall. We must have to take some steps for traffic system.

He said, “We are saying frequently, it does not work. Now we need to go implement laws strictly. From now, legal actions will also be taken against pedestrians when they become cause of accident. They will also be held for breaking traffic rules.”

DMP Commissioner said this while exchanging views at a programme in the capital’s Gulistan on Thursday.
