People returning to Dhaka after Eid vacation

Staff Correspondent: Holidaymakers have started returning back to the Dhaka after celebrating the Eid-ul-Azha with their families at village homes.

The launch terminals witnessed crowds of people coming back to capital from their hometowns, however the pressure of the passenger is still low.

On the other hand, a good number of people were seen to leave the capital on Saturday.

Over, fifty launches anchored at Sadarghat terminals this morning. Of them, 13 launches came from Barisal. But, there were few passengers in return journey, Kirtonkhola-2 supervisor Shafikul Islam said.

He said, "According to rotation, a total of 13 launches left Barisal for Dhaka. But, there were few passengers. Around 800 people came in our launch (Kirtonkhola). The passenger pressure will be triple soon."

Shahjahan, who was returning from Barisal to Dhaka, told risingbd.com that there was a huge passenger pressure during homebound journey. But, there is no crowd now.
