Per capita income rises to $1610

Staff Correspondent: The per capita income in Bangladesh has risen to $1,610 in the fiscal year 2016-2017, which was $1,602 in the last fiscal year, according to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

The country's gross domestic product (GDP) growth reached 7.28 percent this fiscal year, the BBS report said.

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal disclosed the updated and finalised statistics in a press briefing held at the planning commission on Tuesday.
