Per capita income rises to $1909

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh's per capita income has risen to $1,909 in the fiscal year (2019-20).

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal made the announcement on Thursday afternoon during budget unveiling at the National Parliament.

In 2005-06, the per capita income was $ 543, it has now been $ 1,909. That means per capita income increased by three and half times.

The per capita income and growth risen due many reasons including positive trends in financial sector of the country.
