Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Police Service Association has rejected the survey report of the Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) that found out the law enforcement agencies as the most corrupt service sector in the country.
A press release signed by Saifur Rahman, office secretary of Bangladesh Police Service Association, revealed news on Tuesday.
According to the press statement, it is very unfortunate and undesired to negatively present police department, the main and one of the most important law enforcement agencies of the state, on views of some people. It is also clear whether any of the people who gave interviews to TIB moved to police for service on the particular period mentioned in the report. So, it is very possible to question authenticity of the report which was only prepared on the basis of audiology to people’s mind. And that’s why, Bangladesh Police also rejects the report boldly.
Earlier on August 30, TIB survey revealed that the law enforcement agencies are the most corrupt service sector (72.5 pc) in Bangladesh followed by the Department of Immigration and Passport (67.3 pc) and Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) (65.4 pc).
