Polls in 127 upazilas on March 24

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) has announced schedule for the third phase election to 127 upazila parishads of 25 districts under 7 divisions.

As per the schedule, the election will be held on March 24 while the last date for filing nomination papers is February 26, the papers will be scrutinised until February 28 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is March 7.

EC Joint Secretary (Public Relations) SM Asaduzzaman announced the polls schedule at a press conference at the Nirbachan Bhaban at the capital’s Agargaon on Thursday afternoon.
