Popular singer Ayub Bachchu dies

Entertainment Correspondent: Ayub Bachchu, who is popularly known as a singer, lyricist, composer and also the founder of the country's one of the leading rock bands, the LRB, has passed away of cardiac arrest.

He breathed his last at the capital’s Square Hospital on Thursday morning. He was 56.

Physicians of the hospital revealed news of the singer’s death around 10:0am, according to Ayub Bachchbu’s family sources.

Ayub Bachchu was born in Chittagong on August 16, 1962.

He started his music career there with the band Feelings in 1978.

From 1980 to 1990, he was a member of Souls as lead guitarist and finally in 1991, he formed his own band, LRB.

LRB released its first album as a double album, which contained hard rock songs like "Madhobi" "Hoker" "Sesh Cithi keno amon Cithi hoy" "Happy" and "Dhakar Sondha".
