President signs CJ Sinha's application

Staff Correspondent: President Abdul Hamid signed the government order (GO) allowing Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha to go abroad.

Law secretary Abu Saleh Sheikh Md Zahirul Haque said that the President signed the paper after returning to Dhaka from Kishoreganj on Wednesday night.

Earlier, the law minister Anisul Huq said that the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina endorsed the Chief Justice (CJ) Surendra Kumar Sinha's letter seeking President's permission for going abroad.

Chief Justice SK Sinha sent a letter to President Abdul Hamid seeking his permission for going abroad yesterday. He went on a month's leave since October 3 on health ground.
