Prices of vegetables increase

Staff Correspondent: The prices of vegetables increased in the capital’s kitchen markets.

The prices of most of the vegetables increased by Tk 10-15 a kilogram in city markets. The prices have risen in retail markets of Hazaribagh, New-market, Dhanmondi and other city kitchen markets.

Aubergine was selling at Tk 50a kg, cucumber at Tk 40 a kg, tomato at Tk 80-100, ladies finger at Tk 45 a kg, Parwal at Tk 40, Yard-long bean at Tk 50 and Teasle Gourd at Tk 50.

Besides, green chilli at Tk 100 a kg, Papaya at Tk 30 a kg, bitter gourds at Tk 50-60 a kg, carrot at Tk 60, potato at Tk 25 a kg, cabbage at Tk 30 per piece, cauliflower at Tk 35 per piece and Snake gourd was selling at Tk 50 a kg on Friday.

The prices of broiler remained unchanged over the week.
