Priyanka invited only Ranveer not Deepika

Entertainment Desk: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s engagement party was a celeb-spotting extravaganza, Alia Bhatt and the Ambanis made it. Ranveer Singh was invited too but not Deepika Padukone, say reports.

Turns out Priyanka Chopra’s engagement party had its share of surprise snubs: namely actor Deepika Padukone. Ever since it was revealed Deepika’s rumoured boyfriend, actor Ranveer Singh, would be in attendance, it might have been assumed she was on the guest list too. Deepika and Priyanka seemed friendly when they appeared together on the fourth season of Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan (2014) and acted together in Bajirao Mastani (2015). A report now says that Deepika didn’t get an invite?

A source told media, “Deepika has always been supportive of Priyanka and she would have definitely gone to wish her if she was invited. In fact, everyone knows Ranveer and DP are a couple and will walk down the altar this November. So, it’s odd that PC left Dippy’s name out of her guest list. Who does that?” Neither Deepika nor Priyanka have commented on this.

Priyanka, Nick Jonas’s engagement festivities started with a round of morning ceremonies — roka and pujas — at her home in Mumbai on Saturday. The newly-engaged couple kept the celebration going into the wee hours of the morning after Saturday night’s glamorous engagement party. The highly-anticipated bash was a celeb-spotting extravaganza, boasting a guest list of actors Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra, as well as industrialist Mukesh Ambani with wife Nita and daughter Isha Ambani.
