Probe body formed against 2 IU teachers over scam allegation

Kushtia Correspondent: The administration of Islamic University (IU) on Wednesday formed a three-member committee to investigate into the allegation of corruption against two teachers of Finance and Banking Department.

University's Acting Registrar SM Abdul Latif confirmed the matter.

Prof Dr Shahadath Hossain Azad of English department has been made the convener of the probe body.

Two other members of the committee are -- M Asaduzzaman of Mathematics Department and M Kamal Uddin, director of IU’s Finance and Account Division.

The IU authorities asked the probe body to submit its report within seven working days.

The committee will investigate into the allegation against M Ruhul Amin and Asaduzzaman, assistant professors of Finance and Banking Department.

The university's acting registrar told risngbd.com that Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari formed the probe body against the teachers.

Legal action will be taken against them after getting reports from the probe body, he added.
