‘Projects should be implemented in time maintaining quality’

Staff Correspondent:  Planning Minister MA Mannan said that projects should be implemented in time in the given budget maintaining quality.

The minister said this while addressing a day-long workshop of Personnel Management Information System (PMIS) at NEC conference room in capital’s Sher-e-Bnagla on Sunday noon.

He said, “We are working under the leadership of her (Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina). We want to do more as she wants more works. So, the speed of work should be increased. Projects should be done in time. No unnecessary expenditure is expected as the money comes from the government.”

In the programme, Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) acting secretary Abul Mansur Md Fayzullah said, the information of 1,916 projects are kept in 562 software.

Planning ministry sources said that 1,976 project officials including 760 projects directors were given training.
