Public holiday in 14 Upazilas ahead of polls

Staff Correspondent: The government has declared public holiday on voting day in 14 upazilas scheduled to be held on Monday.

Public administration ministry made the disclosure on Sunday.

The holiday was declared so that all employees of government, semi-government and autonomous institutions in respective area can cast their vote for the public holiday. 

The upazilas are- Banaripara and Gournadi upazila of Barisal, Osmaninagar of Sylhet, Guimara of Khagrachhari, Jagannantpur of Sunamganj, Rangabali of Patuakhali, Adarsha Sadar of Comilla, Sujanagar and Iswardi of Pabna, Boraigram of Natore, Hossainpur of Kishoreganj, Jaldhaka of Nilphamari, Kolaroya of Satkhira and Morrelganj of Bagerhat.
