Quader now fully okay

Senior Correspondent: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, who is now undergoing treatment at a Singaporean hospital, is now fully okay, physicians said.

“His endotracheal tube has been removed. The dosage of sedatives is being lessened,” Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Director Prof Abu Nasar Rizvi, who is coordinating his treatment, briefed Quader's family and others at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday noon.

Sheikh Walid Foyez, Information Officer at Bridges Division confirmed the matter.

Earlier on Wednesday, Quader underwent a bypass surgery at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital by a team of surgeons led by Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr Sebastian Kumar Swami.

On March 3, Obaidul Quader was admitted to the CCU of the hospital following his breathing complications. Later, doctors found three blockages in his coronary artery after an angiogram.
