Quader vows to root out fundamentalism

Senior Correspondent: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has urged the party leaders and activists to take oath to root out fundamentalism from the country.

He said, “We have to take oath before the next general election likely to be held in upcoming December. We have to clinch victory beating the fundamentalist forces. Those who do not observe March 7 do not believe in the country’s liberation.”

The Road Transport and Bridges Minister also expressed regret over the public suffering centering the rally and promised to hold all political programmes on leave days.

The ruling party general secretary came up with the statement while speaking at a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Wednesday.

Awami League organized the rally as a part of its pompous observation of the historic March 7.
