Quota, safe road movement: 34 get bail

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has granted bail to 34 students who were arrested in cases filed over quota reformation and safe road movements.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court of Dhaka passed the order on Monday.

Of the accused, 20 secured bail in five cases lodged over the quota reform demonstration while 14 in six cases over safe road movement.

The convicts who got bails in quota reform demonstration are: Rashed Khan, Toriqul Islam, Faruk Hossain, Jasim Uddin, Moshiur Rahman, Sohel and Sakhawat Hossain. All of the seven are leaders of Bangladesh General Students' Rights Protection Forum.

The others who secured bails in quota movement cases are: Masud Alam, Abu Sayed alias Fazle Rabbi, Rakibul Hassan, Atikur Rahman, Saidur Rahman, Jasim Uddin, Ali Hossain, Masud Sarkar, Rakibul Hassan, Yousuf Chowdhury, Saidul Islam Touhid, Alamgir Hossain and Mahbubur Rahman.

Who got bails in cases over safe road demonstration are: Mahbubur Rahman, Risanatul Ferdous, Bayezid, Aminul Ehsan Bayezid, Jaber Ahmed Ullah, Shamim, Sohel, Zobair Hossain, Gazi Imam Bukhari, Saddam, Ehsan Uddin Ifaz, Mahbubur Rahman, Saidul Islam and Shahriar Hossain.
