'Qurbani Eid journey to be more comfortable'

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: Awami League general secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the upcoming Qurbani Eid journey will be more comfortable then the last Ramadan Eid.

The minister made the opinion while addressing reporters after visiting Dhaka-Tangail highway in Chandra Trimor area of Gazipur on Friday noon.

Obaidul Quader said the Ramadan Eid journey was comfortable this time. And there will be no problem in Tangail bypass. The construction of Deora rail overpass almost is completed. Eid journey will be easier this time."

"I think the journey in four-lane will be more convenient and comfortable during Eid journey," he said.

The minister also said that the transports will get more pace during Qurbani as the roads are more spacious now. The vehicles will be able to move through 23 new bridges.

Sabuj Uddin Khan, Dhaka divisional engineer of Roads and Highway, Gazipur HRD engineer DKN Nahin Reza, deputy divisional engineer Md Gausul Hasan Maruf and other officials attended the press briefing.
