RU admission tests begin

Rajshahi University Correspondent: Rajshahi University (RU) admission tests into first-year honours courses for the academic session 2018-2019 has begun today.

The tests are being held under five units. The units are - A-unit (Arts and Fine Arts Faculty), B-unit (Business Studies and Business Administration Institute), C-unit (comprises of Science and Engineering Faculties), D-unit (Life and Earth Science Faculties) and E unit (Law and Social Science Faculties and Education and Research Institute).

A total of 1, 47, 700 applicants will sit for the tests against 4,700 seats.

Electronic devices, including calculator, mobile phone and electronic watch are banned in the exam halls to prevent forgery.

Rajshahi University vice-chancellor Professor M Abdus Sobhan said that all types of necessary steps were taken to hold the examination smoothly.

The result of the admission tests will be published on October 31.
