Rain Tree authority calls for justice over Banani rape

Staff Correspondent: The Raintree hotel authority in Banani where two girls were raped in March, have demanded exemplary punishment of the culprits are involved in the incident of rape.

Under public outrage over allegations of siding with the rapists and trying to cover up the incident, the authority arranged a press conference at the hotel on Tuesday.

Four representatives of the hotel, including its Managing Director Shah Adnan Harun, were present at the press meet.

Managing Director Shah Adnan Harun said it was known to any staff of the hotel what happened in the hotel.

He said Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) found nothing during the drive in the hotel. But the following day (May 14), Customs Intelligence Department found 10 bottles of alcohol that created a question.
