Rain likely on Eid day

Staff Correspondent: Rain is likely to occur at different places across the country on the day of Eid-ul-Azha on Saturday. Even, rain may increase the following day.

Bazlur Rashid, a meteorologist at the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, confirmed the news.

He said the capital may experience light to moderate rain while heavy rain is likely to occur in Chittagong, Sylhet and Rangpur on the Eid day. However, the amount of rain may increase on Sunday, day after Eid.

According to weather forecast for 24 hours since 9:00am on Friday, most of the places in Rangpur, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisons and many places of Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Khulna divisions may see light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind.

Besides, some places of the country may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
