Rajib murder convict Rana on 3-day fresh remand

Staff Correspondent: Police will interrogate blogger Rajib murder death row convict Rezwanul Azad Rana, the death row convict in blogger Rajib murder case, has been placed on a three-day fresh remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abdullah Al Masud passed the order on Monday.

The court also sent Rana's cohort to jail in the case.

Earlier, Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit Inspector Monirul Islam produced the accused before the court seeking seven days fresh remand.

On February 20, DMP's Counter Terrorism Unit arrested Rana and his two associated from the city's Uttara.

Rajib, an activist of Ganajagar Mancha, was hacked to death at Palashnagar of Pallabi in the city on February 15, 2013.
