Rajib’s death: Probe report submission May 22

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court on Thursday fixed May 22 for submitting the probe report of the case filed over the death of college student Rajib who lost hand being sandwiched between two buses competing on city road.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansari fixed the new date as the investigation officer of Shahbagh police station sub-inspector Idris Ali failed to submit the report today.

The two accused of the case are- BRTC bus driver Wahid, 35 and Sajan paribahan bus driver Khorshed, 50. The accused are kept in jail now.

Earlier on April 3, Rajib, a third-year student of Government Titumir College, lost his right hand after it got stuck between two speeding buses trying to overtake each other in the capital's Bangla Motor area.

Later, the victim succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on April 17.
