Rangpur Jubo League president killed in road crash

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: A juba league president was killed and injured two others in a road crash on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Tangail on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rasheduzzaman Jewel, 35, son of Moyazzem Hossain. He was Jubo League president of Rangpur district unit.

Mosharraf Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge North police station said, a block coloured Pajero Jeep collided with a cement laden truck in Elenga-Bhuapur link road area this morning, leaving three the two passengers and the driver injured.

Later, the victims were taken to Tangail General Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared Jewel dead on arrival.
