Rangpur bus plunge kills 3

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: At least three people were killed and 20 were injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Pirganj Fire Service Crossing area early Thursday.

One of the deceased was identified as Nur Jahan Begum (35), wife of the late Tariqul Islam in Dinajpur.

Pirganj highway police inspector Hafizar Rahman said a Thakurgaon-bound bus of Ruposhi Paribahan from Dhaka fell into the ditch after the driver lost control, leaving two dead on the spot and injuring 21 others.

He also informed that the injured were rushed to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital where another succumbed to his injuries.
