Sports Desk: Afghanistan’s leg spin sensation Rashid Khan has announced establishing a charity organization that would in the first phase help about 500 orphaned children go to school across the country.
On his Facebook account, Rashid Khan wrote he had set up a charity Rashid Khan charity organization which would facilitate hundreds of children in going to school in the first charity work.
“Respected Afghans, with your prayers and well wishes, I was able to take another good step for my beloved country and nation and made this charity,” the cricket said. He said orphan children would be provided the opportunity to get education and then the organization would work to provide clean drinking water, health facilities and other humanitarian assistance.
Khan said his success in the cricket game was a result of the prayers and well wishes of the Afghans and now it was the time for him to help the deserving people.
Hundreds of social media users praised and welcomed Rashid Khan’s move to set up the charity. Previously another cricketer Karim Sadiq had set up a charity organization.
