Rawhide price for sacrificial animals fixed

Secretariat Correspondent: The government has announced the prices for rawhides of different sacrificial animals ahead of Eid-ul-Azha which is likely to be celebrated on August 22.
The prices of raw cowhide have been fixed at Tk 45-50 per square foot for the capital while at Tk 35-40 for outside Dhaka.
The decision came from a meeting held at the Commerce Ministry on Thursday with Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed in the chair.
Besides, the prices of goatskins have been fixed at Tk 18-20 per square foot across the country while that of she-goat at Tk 13-15, said Tofail.
He said there is no chance for smuggling of rawhide.
It is mentionable that the prices of rawhides from different animals have been lowered compared to last year.
