Real Estate boss suggests registration cost reduction

Rezaul Karim, Chittagong: A top official of a Real Estate company suggested the reduction of the registration cost of apartments and commercial spaces which will help the government to earn more revenue.


"If the government reduces the registration cost of apartment, commercial spaces from 14% to 7% then government can garner more revenue from Housing sector, Young Real estate personality & COO of ANZ Properties Ltd Engr. Tanvir Shahriar Rimon sounding confidently while talking with the correspondent in Rehab fair at Radisson Blu Chittagong bay View.

He also spoke about the tremendous success of his company in Rehab fair 2017 while he claimed to get 10 spot booking in different projects in the Fair.

He said "seems the good days are backed ! 2013-2015 period was the bad phase for this sector but things turned around to positive sign since last year. People again coming to invest in that sector. Specially this year just been started with a splendid note here in Rehab bonanza. Every company is doing well."

He said, all potential customers just set the bird's eye for that Fair to buy their apartments, plots and commercial spaces. They can find all the top class developers under one roof and choose their dream home. Even who don't book apartments in Fair also take a while after the fair to decide and finally they book in 1-2 months time.

Pointing on current market scenario Engr. Tanvir Shahriar Rimon said that the government took some positive decisions, the bank interest rate came to single digit and some financial institutions even offering home loan at 8.15%. The political stability is consistent since April 2015 and the price of raw materials are also in control. The market correction has been done over the period of time. And now the price is quite reasonable & favourable for the investors.

"Government takes so many development projects including flyovers to increase road connectivity. To uphold Chittagong already World Trade Center has been built. Another extension of Chittagong port is underway in north Halishahar. Govt planned for an economic zone in Mirasharai and acquired 30,000 acres of land for that purpose. Recently govt. gave 1,000 acres of land to India. China is going to build another economic zone in Anwara. In December, the work of Karnafully tunnel will kickoff."

Highlighting other development plans of this government Engr. Tanvir claimed that ten years down the line Chittagong will be changed to a sizzling city. And that's why Real estate won't be faded in near future rather will boost the economy in many ways.
