Relations between two countries will reach high

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited India after nearly seven years. The visit was very important. From the beginning, it was discussed. The Prime Minister was given hospitality at the Presidential Palace, which was unprecedented.

But there was a surprise, breaking the system, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present at the airport to welcome Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He broke twice more during the visit of the Presidents of the United States and China. This rare honour was given to Sheikh Hasina.

Indian President Pranab Mukherjee said, referring to the continuity of relations between India and Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to India is a reflection of the improvement in relations. He appreciated the role of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to continue the relationship.

At the second day of Sheikh Hasina’ s visit, twenty agreements and memoranda of understandings were signed. The Teesta agreement was also discussed. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to continue the path of the Teesta agreement. India has supported for international acceptance for the Day of Massacre on March 25.

Under the third line of credit, as per agreements and the Memorandum of Understandings, India will provide a loan of US $ 450 crore. Besides, India will give US$ 50 crore debt for military purchase. Khulna-Dhaka-Kolkata bus service, Khulna-Kolkata train service and Radhikapur-Birol rail line were also inaugurated. In addition, Bangladesh will get more than 60 MW power from India.

But the widely expected Teesta deal was not signed. But it was expectation that her tour will resolve pending problems and the Bangladesh-India relations will bring a new level.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to India has revealed that warmth that it will be based on the Teesta water-sharing agreements. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that his government and Sheikh Hasina's government would resolve Teesta water problem.  We hope that India's prime minister’s statement will be implemented.

Besides, agreements signed between the two countries on the economic and defence cooperation, peaceful use of nuclear energy, aerospace, information and communication, media, etc. Those will undoubtedly expand the field of bilateral relations. Relations between the two countries in the coming days will reach a high level.
