Remove name of Chakma king Tridib Roy: HC

Staff Correspondent: The High Court has directed the government to remove the name of Chakma king Tridib Roy from all structures for his alleged anti-liberation role.

The HC bench of Justice Quazi Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Ullah passed the order after hearing a writ petition on Monday.

Two freedom fighters recently submitted the writ petition saying that Tridib Roy acted against the Liberation War of Bangladesh. But there are many structures in Chittagong Hill Tracts area, which were named after him, they said.
