Report in Gulshan attack case May 31

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has fixed May 31 to submit the report in Gulshan Holey Artisan Bakery terror attack case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nurunnahar Yasmin passed the order as  the Investigation Officer (IO), inspector of Counter Terrorism Unit, Humayun Kabir failed to submit report on Tuesday.

On July 1, 2016, five militants stormed Holey Artisan bakery in the capital`s Gulshan, the diplomatic zone, and held diners hostage at gunpoint.

They murdered 20 hostages -- nine Italian, seven Japanese, two Bangladeshis, one Indian and one Bangladesh-born US citizen -- and two police officers who tried to end the standoff soon after it began around 8:40pm.
