Probe report on May 17 in Garo girl rape case

Staff Correspondent: A court in Dhaka has fixed May 17 for submitting the investigation report in a case filed over raping a Garo girl at Dhaka’s Uttar Badda.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ziarul Islam set the date for submitting the investigation report on Monday.

The investigation officer of the case could not submit the investigation report today although it was supposed to submit.

Rubel along with his several accomplices picked the indigenous girl up from Uttar Badda while she was returning from her workplace and raped her on the night of October 26 last year. Later on November 4, the girl filed a law suit against Rubel, one of his accomplices Salauddin and two others unknown persons.

Rubel confessed to his involvement before a magistrate with raping of the Garo girl.
