Review for cancellation jail term until death

Staff Correspondent: A review petition has been filed seeking cancellation of the life-term imprisonment which means natural life imprisonment or jail until death.

Advocate Shishir Monir filed the petition with the Appellate Division concerned on Sunday.

On April 24 in the full-text verdict in a Savar murder case, the Appellate Division termed the life-term imprisonment as natural life jail that means jail until death.

Earlier, the four-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by the Chief Justice Surendra Kumar also mentioned it during the announcement of the verdict on February 14.
