'Roads will be Kept usable despite rainfall'

Staff Correspondent: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the roads and highways will be kept usable at any cost despite rainfall during Eid rush.

The Minister said, "I don't want to tell that Eid journey may be disrupted due to rainfall. It is not our aim. Our aim is to keep roads and highways usable, passable and active. This is our decision."

"We have already to talk highway police, transport owners and workers in this regard. We have also contacted district and upazila administrations over the issue," he added.

The Minister said this while visiting the traffic movement at Chandra intersection of the district's Kaliakoir upazila on Friday.
