Rule for amenities to village police

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has issued a rule asking the authority concern as to why village police should not be given amenities as like of fourth-class government employees.

The HC bench of Justice Moinul Islam Chowdhury and Justice JBM Hassan came up with the rule on Sunday.

Barrister Humayun Kabir Pallab stood for the village police in the court.

Earlier, Lal Mia from Dhamrai and Ujjal from Rajbari among 46,000 village police filed a writ petition to the HC.
