Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh Women’s team star Rumana Ahmed received the 2018 ICC T20 Team of the Year cap from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The Bangladeshi star women cricketer got the award from the ICC on Sunday.
The cap was handed over to her at the green carpet of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium ground in Mirpur.
The right-arm leg-spinner was very delighted after getting such honour from the ICC.
The national team cricketer said, “I want to retain the continuation of my success and I think this award will inspire me to do good in future.”
Rumana is the first Bangladesh player to have been selected in the ICC squad. She has been the second most successful T20I bowler in the 2018 calendar year with 30 wickets in 24 matches, including four wickets in four matches in the ICC Women’s World T20 2018.
