Ryan Cook appointed Bangladesh fielding consultant

Sports Desk: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Ryan Cook as national team fielding consultant.

The South African coach, who has reached an agreement with the BCB to work up to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales, will join the Bangladesh team in Jamaica on Friday.

Ryan is currently working as the head coach and High Performance director of Gary Kirsten Cricket Academy in Cape Town.

Ryan is also the assistant coach of Hobart Hurricanes in Australia’s Big Bash League and the Protea also served South Africa A Team as their assistant coach.

Cook was the assistant coach of the South Africa Under- 19 Team in the ICC Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh in 2016.

Bangladeshi local coach Sohel Islam is currently working as the fielding coach of the national team who replaced Richard Halsall after the Zimbabwe-born Englishman resigned in March showing his personal causes.
