SC extends time for paying compensation

Staff Correspondent: The appellate division of Supreme Court has extended till June 30 next year the order that asked Freedom Fighters’ Welfare Trust to pay Tk 100 crore to the owner of Moon Cinema Hall.  

The bench of Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order on Monday.

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam move for the state while Barrister Azamamul Hossain attended during the hearing.

Earlier on October 8, the Appellate Division ordered the Freedom Fighters’ Welfare Trust to pay Tk 100 crore to the owner of Moon Cinema Hall and fixed December 8 to pay the amount.
