SC orders Citycell to pay dues of Tk128cr

Staff Correspondent: The appellate division of the Supreme Court directed mobile operator Citycell to pay Tk 128.98 crore to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) soon.

A four-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order after ending final hearing in the case on Tuesday.

Barrister Rokon Uddin Mahmud and Advocate Ahsanul Karim moved for Citycell while Khadakar Reza-e-Rakib stood for BTRC.

Earlier on March 5, appellate division of the Supreme Court order Citycell to pay the amount.

The apex court also directed the authority to form a three member committee led by Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury.
