SC stays HC bail to Minar Chowdhury in Ekram murder case

Staff Correspondent: The Supreme Court (SC) stayed for four months a High Court (HC) order that granted six months interim bail to BNP leader Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury Minar in Fulgazi upazila parishad chairman Ekramul Haque killing case.

Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, Justice Syed Mahmud Hussain, came up with order after hearing in the case on Monday.

Lawyer Munsurul Hoque Chowdhury stood for Minar Chowdhury while Deputy Attorney General Masud Hasan Chowdhury represented the state in the court.

Earlier on October 22, the HC granted a six months interim bail to BNP leader Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury Minar in Fulgazi upazila parishad chairman Ekramul Haque killing case.
